Shelter Island, Silver Beach Waterfront Home
The first photo shows how the property looked when we were introduced to this project. In order to expand their living area, previous owners had converted a garage to living space and added a new garage–a process which repeated itself several times, resulting in a long, sprawling structure built on substandard foundations.
Ian’s recommendation was to remove the existing structure completely and start fresh with a new plan. The resulting 4,200 square foot home takes full advantage of the magnificent view and mature trees on this beautiful waterfront parcel of land. The location The home includes a detached 2 car “Carriage House”, and an in ground swimming pool.
Finished Kitchen
Finished with rich details that make a simple statement, the kitchen boasts ample storage space and counter tops finished with polished granite, an island ideally suited for food preparation and entertaining, and wainscoting on the ceiling.
Living Space
The living room, shown here in natural light, is a comfortable space enhanced by clean design lines and natural stone and wood floors. Large windows take advantage of bay views, while French doors open to a screened porch that’s worthy of the best summer nights on the East End.
